Privacy
The short version: your address is used to deliver Tech Insights. There is no open, click, or website tracking.
Who is responsible
Tech Insights is published by Johan Sanneblad in Sweden. To ask a privacy question or exercise your rights, reply to any Tech Insights email.
What is stored and why
When you subscribe, the service stores your email address, confirmation and subscription status, and the events needed to honour unsubscribes and prevent duplicate sends. Short-lived hashed network and address identifiers are used to prevent signup abuse. The newsletter is sent on the basis of your consent; security and record-keeping are used to operate the service safely and demonstrate that consent.
Service providers
Oderland hosts the site and private subscriber database. Postmark sends confirmation and newsletter email and maintains delivery suppressions. These providers process data only to operate the service. Where processing takes place outside the EEA, contractual transfer safeguards apply. Subscriber data is not sold or used for advertising.
Retention
Active subscription data is kept while you subscribe. Expired confirmation and rate-limit records are removed automatically. A minimal unsubscribe record is retained so another email is not sent without fresh consent. Completed campaign payloads are removed after 90 days and subscription event records after two years. Postmark retains delivery records according to the account's retention settings.
Your choices
Every issue contains an unsubscribe link. You may also reply to an issue to request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent. You may complain to Sweden's data protection authority, IMY.
